Front Deck Up-Do Part 4

Ok, so this isn't exactly on my front deck...but it is in the flower bed in front of the deck! Someone had thrown this out in the trash and hubby saw it and knew I'd be able to rescue it! LOL! (he really 'gets' me!) I knew that I had to paint it my fave shade of blue!

Front Deck Up-Do Part 3

I found this great little ladder and decided to add some cup hooks to mount my stars. The barn stars were definitely showing their age and crying out for a new coat of paint!

Front Deck Up-Do Part 2

We have had this patio set for YEARS!!!!!!! Notice the forest green colored chair? Boring! But the set was still in great shape. We've gone through several umbrellas over the years (thanks to wonderful west winds). I of course got so excited about repainting it that I didn't get any good "before" pictures, oops! I disassembled the table and coated it with primer before I remembered to take the before pics! I'm on the look out for the perfect umbrella! I just love the new bright summery green!!!

Front Deck Up-Do!

My front deck has become so this will be part of a "series" of little spruce up projects, additions, re-do's, etc. to help make it a little more interesting. We spend a lot of time on the decks (we have 3) and they have all have become neglected over the years.
We used to have a chiminea on the deck for years, we used it for quick marshmallow roasting and heat. After several years the clay cracked and we had to get rid of it. We have a traditional fire pit in the back yard, but sometimes you just want to make a quick s'more! :) Hubby and I found this at a garage sale and decided it would be the perfect addition! We've already enjoyed using it! We're planning on giving it a new coat of paint, but will probably wait till after Fall-when we're not using it!

Final Graduation Blanket

I embroidered so many blankets for graduation gifts this year...I know that I won't be planning on any in the near future! This is the final blanket-for a grand total of 16!

Congrats KC 2012 Grads!

Our oldest son graduated from high school this year (YEAH!!) and I knew we'd have several graduation parties to addition to throwing one for him! This winter I purchased several 50" x 60" Holiday Time Plush Throws on clearance after Christmas. Since my son's school colors are red and white my brain immediately began thinking "graduation gifts"! I used a 2" collegiate font (slightly reduced), I didn't want a solid font as I like the look of the plush showing through the letters. The design has just under 25,000 stitches.
