While shopping at Goodwill this past winter I came across this digital photo frame still in the box. Enclosed was a 'thank you' note that indicated it was a promotional giveaway. The price on the box...$2.00!!!! I quickly snatched it up! Knowing I would find a use for it! It was stashed away until I began working on the picture boards for our sons graduation party. I quickly realized that I had way too many photo's I wanted to share. That's when I remembered this gem!
A few pieces of red grosgrain ribbon, some glue and the camera card (full of an additional 150 pictures) and voila!

DIY Graduation Card Box
For our son's graduation party I knew I wanted to make a unique card box. He has always been an avid outdoors-man and his love of camo was evident in his decorating of his graduation cap! I couldn't resist the opportunity to replicate his creativity! Thus the "matching" card box for his graduation party!!

Front Deck Up-Do Part 2
We have had this patio set for YEARS!!!!!!! Notice the forest green colored chair? Boring! But the set was still in great shape. We've gone through several umbrellas over the years (thanks to wonderful west winds). I of course got so excited about repainting it that I didn't get any good "before" pictures, oops! I disassembled the table and coated it with primer before I remembered to take the before pics! I'm on the look out for the perfect umbrella! I just love the new bright summery green!!!

Front Deck Up-Do!
My front deck has become so blah....so this will be part of a "series" of little spruce up projects, additions, re-do's, etc. to help make it a little more interesting. We spend a lot of time on the decks (we have 3) and they have all have become neglected over the years.
We used to have a chiminea on the deck for years, we used it for quick marshmallow roasting and heat. After several years the clay cracked and we had to get rid of it. We have a traditional fire pit in the back yard, but sometimes you just want to make a quick s'more! :) Hubby and I found this at a garage sale and decided it would be the perfect addition! We've already enjoyed using it! We're planning on giving it a new coat of paint, but will probably wait till after Fall-when we're not using it!

Congrats KC 2012 Grads!
Our oldest son graduated from high school this year (YEAH!!) and I knew we'd have several graduation parties to attend...in addition to throwing one for him! This winter I purchased several 50" x 60" Holiday Time Plush Throws on clearance after Christmas. Since my son's school colors are red and white my brain immediately began thinking "graduation gifts"! I used a 2" collegiate font (slightly reduced), I didn't want a solid font as I like the look of the plush showing through the letters. The design has just under 25,000 stitches.

Bubble Chandelier
I just adore the look of these "new" Bubble Chandeliers! They're all over the internet and HGTV programs!
I'm saving this idea for my "Dream House"!
After doing some internet surfing I was able to find both pricey and less pricey options.
Premiere Luminaire http://premiereltg.com/ had similar styles that ranged from $380-$3,400. Other sites had them up to $12,000!!!
Then I found this great DIY link! http://froufroufashionista.blogspot.com/2010/05/bubble-chandelier-diy.htmlDefinitely drool worthy!!!

Welcome Simon!
One of my colleagues was blessed with a new addition to their family this past Christmas Eve!
I decided to do some internet searching to see if there was a pattern out there to make another bag similar to the leopard bag I made and lo and behold I found one on Little Lizard King. The pattern was similar to the one I whipped up on my own, but hers only had the one handle and I really like that so I used it on this bag. I also chose to line this one with HeatnBond Vinyl to make it leak proof! I bought several rolls of this when it was on clearance at JoAnn's a while back. Now I've got the perfect use for it! I see many more bags in my future!
The applique patterns for the burp and bib are from Planet Applique.
The Elephant is holding a minky style blanket that I embroidered with his name and date of birth.

Leopard Bag
I thought it was time to post something besides embroidery projects! But don't worry they'll be back tomorrow! :)
I made this little bag out of two fat quarters and some ribbon. Nothing fancy, just a little gift bag to fill with goodies. The hardest part was the box pleat corners and if you've made them you know they are super simple! Of course I could always add a monogram or something before I give the gift. ;)
